Better Homes & Gardens | Supervising Producer
I created this series based upon the host's Instagram. I researched the concepts for the pilot season and developed the overall style and graphics for this series. This was developed to be launched as Better Homes & Garden's first IGTV series. For more check out BH&G's instagram.

The Dirt was developed as Betters Homes & Garden's first premium video series offering tips and tricks by the host by Stephen Orr, Editor in Chief of Better Homes & Gardens. This series has received several nominations and awards. I produce, shoot, and edit this series.

This adorable felt fox was a walk-through video created for the Made By Me Crafts series developed by my team. I produced, shot and edited this video.

This how-to was created for BH&G's Made By Me Garden video series. I organized our crew, directed cameras, and guided the editing of this video. This video went viral on Facebook with over 6 million views.

Coffee Show Copycat Egg Bites is an example of the food series Eat This Now. This series is meant to follow current food trends. I assisted with creating the production style and graphics of all of BH&G's current food series. With hands-only food I coordinate with edit staff to provide a script for another video team that shoots our food videos. From there my team edit and process the videos.

The Try the Trend series was created while reinventing our video image. We wanted something that was different and stood out from all the other hands-only videos that were being created.

Local 5 We Are Iowa | Sales Promotions Manager
I was provided with a logo and the list of bands and told to create something the client might like. The creative services producer provided some video from a previous shoot for the event. I brought it all together to create a series of on going spots that the client was happy with.
This was a super quick video to get an ad out for the launch of this product. I coordinated with the creative services producer to come up with a general concept. I styled, lit, and shot this video.
Local 5 was a part of a program to feature the history of various non profits which also doubled as a way for sponsors to show their support.
Example of commercial I shot, edited, and create graphics for while at Local 5.
While at Local 5 I ran a number of contests with lots of moving parts. This spot ran with banner ads, a pre-roll, and contest page. I was given the general copy, list of prizes, and sponsors logos. I really enjoyed working on these as I was given a lot of room to do what I wanted as long as it was good.

KTIV Channel 4 | Creative Services Producer
This was a spec spot for a client. We were able to shoot some footage and use some previously aired commercials. I worked with the sales representative working with the client to come up with the talking tire. The client ran this spot but changed it out for something less animated.
In addition to creating commercials I created a number of promotions for the station. I created a number of spots for our various text clubs including Sports Fource.
Another spec spot. The client wanted something to show their shop was fun and for the "younger" crowd. The "copy" came from their website. I shot and edited this commercial. This spot ended up driving our entire commercial department to think about making commercials differently.
I loved making commercials for this business. They usually came up with off the wall ideas and I did my best to always make them a reality. |
One of the few commercials I was able to produce that had a budget for actors, extras, and wardrobe. This client wanted something higher end than what they were used to.
At the time Biggest Loser was huge and the station needed I tie-in. Work with sales and my manger we developed Get Fit. I created this promotion which also ran as a pre roll. In addition to producing the promotion, I produced the segments each week.
This client allowed me to develop a style and just wanted some glam. We refreshed the spots every 3 months.
